NewsBank
contains articles published in UK and world newspapers in the last 5 to 25 years (varies with different papers) right up to yesterday's edition. All all the major national daily papers and many local and regional ones are included.
To access these you will need your library card number.

British Library Newspapers 1730 - 1950
National, regional and local newspapers from the Eighteenth to Twentieth centuries taken directly from the holdings of the British Library, including the Burnley Express, Lancaster Gazette and Preston Chronicle.
To access these you will need your library card number.

British Newspaper Archive
This resource gives access to British Library newspapers, from the early 17th century to the late 20th century. Many of the titles are small regional newspapers. Home access is limited. You can only search newspapers and see a list of results. You can't view or print any articles.
