How can I borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks from the library?

All our Lancashire libraries will be closed on bank and public holidays. There are additional closures on extra statutory dates.

Renewals

You can renew online or by using the automated phone line 0300 123 6704 (card number and PIN are required for both options). If you have any problems with renewals please chat with us if we are online or use the Submit a Question form below.

How can I borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks from the library?

We have digital books and talking book downloads available from BorrowBox

Additional talking books are available from OverDrive - Libby

You will need to register with BorrowBox and/or OverDrive - Libby.
This can be done in your web browser or through their apps (Search for 'BorrowBox' or 'Libby' in your App Store for Android, Apple or Amazon Fire).

To register, you will need

Your library card number
Your library PIN
A valid email address
and you will need to tell them your library (type 'Lancashire')

Once registered and logged in, you can browse or search for books or magazines to read, click to borrow and then download to your tablet or phone.
If you are using a computer, you can also transfer your books to eReaders (eBooks) or MP3 players (eAudio).
